Granville is a new community within Edmonton that is presently undergoing development. The new neighborhood is a promising one because of its strategic location and its exposure to various amenities. It is meant to be a unique residential center as it is a Craftsman inspired neighborhood. The site is interestingly nestled in exciting and unique features that include two ponds, green land and trails, and a future school location. The amenities are planned throughout it. Also attractive is its convenient proximity to nearby freeways of Anthony Henday and Whitemud.

Development of this new residential community is currently underway. Granville is encompassing 305 acres of land to the south of Whitemud Drive and to the east of 215 Street. To date, construction is almost complete in Stage 1, an area featuring 50 duplex homes (apartment style condominiums) and 156 single family lots. The charming community is also set to become a refined real estate center.

About Granville Neighborhood

There are amenities that are located right within the new neighborhood. About 21 acres of vacant land will be spared in its center to serve as focal point that will accommodate and facilitate active recreational activities. In the northeast (along Whitemud Drive) is an 8-acre land that will be allotted for commercial construction and purposes. Granville will also have two retail shopping centers and another large retail area along 215 Street. More commercial developments can be expected once the residential community construction is completed.

Of course, locals (and future residents) enjoy access to amenities located in surrounding communities. An LRT transit station along 87 Avenue and Anthony Henday will help improve mobility to and from other points in Edmonton. Also accessible will be the Grange Centre, the Hamptom Market, West Edmonton Mall, Jamie Platz YMCA, Misericordia Hospital, and Lewis Estates Golf Course. Nearby schools include Sister Annata Brockman Catholic Elementary and Junior High.
