Hairsine Real Estate Market

Hairsine housing market statistics: As of September 21, 2018 there are currently 14 properties for sale in Hairsine listed as active, with an average asking price of $217,786. Hairsine Community

Albert Hairsine is the chap whom the neighbourhood was named after. He was Beverly Town’s first mayor, a position he held until 1951, and is remembered as one of its finest civil servants. The community is bordered by 144th Avenue to the north, Victoria Trail to the east, 137th Avenue to the south, and 36th street to the west. Victoria Trail obtained its name after the trail that led to the Old Victoria Settlement.

Nowadays, the community of Hairsine is completely developed. More than 70% of the housing units in the neighbourhood are row houses, while there are many low-rise apartment buildings in the area too. Other forms of housing in this neighbourhood consist of single-family homes, rented apartments, and duplexes. Two thirds of the homes are owner occupied, while only a third is rented out. There’s a park site and school located at the center of the community.

Hairsine Neighbourhood Amenities

Along 137th Avenue and Victoria Trail, many commercial amenities are easily accessible for residents of the neighbourhood. Other amenities can also be found nearby at the nearby Clareview Town Centre. Residents also have easy access to the rest of the city via the Light Rail Transit or LRT system. The nearest station is located in the neighboring community of Clareview Town Centre. Meanwhile, there is several bus stations scattered through the neighbourhood as well. A large percentage of residents, about 21%, make use of the public transportation to commute to work, which is fairly high compared to the city average of just 13%.

Hairsine School Information

Two schools can be found in the Hairsine community, including St. Bonaventure Catholic Elementary School and John D. Bracco School. Edmonton Catholic School System operates St. Bonaventure Catholic Elementary School, while the Johh D. Bracco School is operated by the Edmonton Public School System.
