The capital city of Alberta, Edmonton may be a popular spot for golfing aficionados to visit in Canada. Though the city can get quite cold in the winter, golfing in the spring and summer can be an amazing experience. Those who enjoy golf and live in or are planning a move to Edmonton should consider the following six golf courses and country clubs the city and its surrounding area has to offer.
Victoria Golf Course
Located in River Valley, the Victoria Golf Course and Driving Range has space for activities for everyone. It is the city's oldest golf course and was developed in 1896—before the city was even founded! This course lends itself well to beginners or mid-handicapped players, as it is a forgiving course that is not overly difficult to play on.
Victoria Golf Course is open every day with prices for both adults and juniors. In addition to 9- and 18-hole games, there is also a driving range for those who wish to go and practice their swings and skills. The course has power cart rentals available and hosts tournaments occasionally, and golfers can even take lessons here, as well.
Another perk at this golf course is the club's restaurant, The Greenhouse, which is open year-round and also offers catering and event space. The restaurant's menu features easy dishes to snack on, such as poutine, bratwurst, fries, and pretzels.
