Celebrating Pride Month in Edmonton

Pride celebrations are about being true to who you are, and celebrating your identity. Those who are interested in celebrating their identity or who want to support the people they love as an ally can organize their own low-key Pride events. For example, neighbors can host a community picnic or organize a neighborhood block party. Volunteer with the Central Alberta Pride Society

The Central Alberta Pride Society is another LGBTQ organization that coordinates events and celebrations throughout the year to advocate for those in the LGBTQ+ community. Attend the Jasper Pride Festival

The Edmonton Pride Festival may not be taking place in 2019, but there are other Pride Festivals that are scheduled to take place in Alberta. The 10th Annual Jasper Pride Festival will be hosted from April 25 through April 28. This year's event has a variety of activities to enjoy throughout the festival, including the Pride Flag Raising ceremony, the Pride Beer Launch, the Burlesque show and the final Pride party. It's sure to be a busy few days of fun-filled events, and those who want to make the most out of their time at the Jasper Pride Festival can purchase a festival pass. The pass will allow festival goers to save money while enjoying all of the different events that are scheduled throughout the weekend.
