Suspended Pedestrian Bridge under the Henday

The Henday bridge offers this bike path underneath it, where cyclist can safely cross over the river without being encountered with traffic. Hint's its name, the bridge Suspends over the river off of the Henday bridge.

Terwillegar Drive Pedestrian Overpass

This bridge is not extended over any water, but it sits on a high spot in Edmonton. It offers a spectacular view of the skyline. This overpass will take you all the way to 111 street.

Mill Creek Trestle Bridge

Although, this bridge is not over the main North Saskatchewan River, it is over Mill Creek which feeds into it. This bridge was established between 1900-1902, and is a wooden trestle. It is one of the last original remains of the Yukon and Pacific Rail Line's. This railway carried passengers until 1928, and freight until the 1950s.

Fort Edmonton Footbridge

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, the Fort Edmonton Footbridge is a suspension bridge. The attractive and beneficial bridge was designed by HFKS Architectural and was the first suspension bridge in the city. The bridge, which operates for pedestrians and bicycle traffic can be found in Fort Edmonton Park and connects the park's trail system with open land across the river. A unique fact about this bridge is that there are only 2 piers in the river, meaning there is less impact on the environment. This 246-meter bridge opened June 18th, 2011 and has served the community ever since.
