Sherbrooke Real Estate Market
The neighbourhood is home to approximately 2400 residents. The community boundaries are Yellowhead Trail to the north, 127 Street to the east, St. Albert Trail to the west and 118 Avenue to the south. The surrounding neighbourhoods include Dovercourt to the west, Prince Charles to the east, Inglewood to the south and Yellowhead Trail to the north.
The single family home is the most common type of residential homes in the area, accounting for 73% of all residences. Row houses make up 13% and apartments also account for 14% of all residential buildings in the neighbourhood. About 66% of all residential buildings are occupied by the owner while 34% are rental property.
Sherbrooke Community Amenities
There are a couple of public parks providing areas where outdoor enthusiasts and children and enjoy recreational activities. Pathways are placed strategically throughout the area to promote safe pedestrian and bicycle travel.
There are main roads around the area, which provide easy access to downtown as well as shopping centers and other facilities. Kingsway Mall can be accessed via 118 Street, as can downtown and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Westmount centre can be accessed via St. Albert Trail as can the University of Alberta and another main road, Whyte Avenue.
Sherbrooke School Information
There is one public school and one private school in the neighbourhood. Sherbrooke School is the public school and St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School is a privately owned school.
