Charlesworth Real Estate Market

The Charlesworth real estate market has a housing mix that comprises of the following: 60% low density residential (LDR) units, 25% medium density residential (MDR) units, and 15% high density residential (HDR) units. It does not conform to housing mix guidelines set by the Edmonton City Council in 1991, which requires a mix of 65% to 85% of LDRs and 15% to 35% of MDRs. But the Charlesworth NSP is in line with more previous Council direction that ensures urban sustainability. The plan aims to establish a more compact city that will transit supportive development.

Charlesworth Community Amenities

Charlesworth NSP conforms to the policies and even objectives of the Southeast Area Structure Plan (NASP). The community is defined by specific boundaries. The neighbourhood is bounded by 66th Street on the west, Ellerslie Road in the south, and Anthony Henday Drive on the north.

Within the northern corner of the Charlesworth NSP are the Lutherhort Bestal Church and St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. These make the community a religious assembly center in the area. The sites of the churches will be part of a special urban development.

Charlesworth School Information

Two school facilities can be located within Charlesworth’s boundary. One is at the eastern section of 66 Street and the other is along the north of Ellerslie Road. Both educational centers are currently operational and are accommodating students from surrounding or nearby neighbourhoods. The schools are also seen as among the many available amenities that attract would-be residents to Charlesworth.
