Secord Real Estate Market

At the time of writing, only a single phase of the planned the construction here has been completed – just a small pocket of residential homes in the south eastern corner of the neighbourhood. Of the homes that have been built, the vast majority of these are single-family dwellings and are overwhelmingly owner occupied. Once complete, homes in the area are expected to be highly sought-after. Secord properties have proven to be among the most expensive in all of Edmonton, while the neighbourhood itself is very attractive as it incorporates many of the natural surroundings of the area.

Secord Community Amenities

Another advantage of living in Secord is that the area is free of traffic problems, having been designed in such a way that most of the roads here terminate in cul-de-sacs, something that encourages pedestrian and bicycle travel.

Of course, the biggest attraction by far is the outdoor recreation space is available. Being on the edge of the city, the neighbourhood has many green spaces, and many small parks have been planned later construction is completed. There is a large wooded area in the southeast of Secord, which surrounds a large lake and has proven to be very popular with families and walkers who love the outdoors.

While there are few commercial facilities in the neighbourhood, Secord does have good transport links, being bounded by Stony Plain Road the north, Winterburn Road to the east, the future extension of Webber Greens Drive to the south, and 231 Street to the west.
