This marks the beginning of the season for men and women in Edmonton. This event is part of the World Curling Tour's new regional series, which will include 10 men's rinks and 12 women's teams. Only four entries are international and the action is very exciting. The vent finished on Saturday, but it's only one of the many events coming up in the curling series.

Maureen Wright of Mojo Design gives some tips on how to utilize every inch of space in your room. “Having a small area is not a problem if you'd go vertical – it makes the eyes wander around, giving an impression of a bigger room,” she says. Stacking things such as books on shelves is one way of doing it. Another technique to add some height to a room is by displaying picture frames in a vertical fashion.
