Ermineskin Real Estate Market
In Ermineskin, residential development is characterized by a variety of different structure types and densities. The neighbourhood consists of single and semidetached homes, row homes, as well as high-rise and low-rise apartments. The majority of residential construction occurred during the 1970s, yet this development has carried on to the early 2000s, mostly in form of intensification and infill development. Most of the homes in this neighbourhood are rented, with about one-fourth of the residences being owner occupied.
The old Heritage Mall’s site, situated along 111th Street in the western part of Ermineskin is 17.4 hectares or 43 acres in size. During the mid 2000s, this area was transformed into a diverse urban village. Named “Century Park,” the redevelopment is meant to offer a mix of residential, office, and commercial spaces in a central park area that is linked to a new LRT or Light Rail Transit station.
Ermineskin Community Amenities
In the past few years, there has been great interest among local communities, planning practitioners, as well as developers to redevelop these big underused urban locations for environmental, economic, and social purposes. When development is finished, Century Park will consist of 2,800 residential units along with 360,000 square feet space for commercial and office use.
The community itself has three parks, which are Malcom MacCrimmon Park, Ermineskin Park, and Maskepetoon Park.
