These days, Greenfield remains largely residential. One will mostly find single detached houses, usually large and facing curvilinear streets. The name Greenfield is in honor of Herbert Greenfield—leader of the United Farmers Party and Premier of Alberta from 1921 to 1925.

The route along 111 Street is the best way to get there. The 111 Street also provides quick access to LRT stations at Southgate and Century Park.
